How it works
Step 1 - Fill out the online Studio
Checklist.
The Studio Checklist is a simple form you fill out to tell us about your song or project, and how you would like the drums to sound. This is where you communicate your thoughts and ideas directly to the drummer on how you envision the drum performance.
The Studio Checklist is also where you create an account with a unique password
that will allow you to quickly upload and download files to and from the drummer.
A valid email address is required for you to receive a special link to upload
your MP3 tracks in Step 3. This email is also used as your Login name which
will allow you to see the status of your project, and to download your final
drum tracks (if you choose this option during Checkout). Keep your name and
password in a safe place, and NEVER tell anyone your name and password!
Note that all the information you provide us is kept strictly confidential, and we will not give your email address out to any third-parties.
Step 2 - Submit payment information using our secure online
store.
We accept all major credit cards, or you can send us a bank or personal check.
Before we can begin work on your custom drum tracks we need you to submit your
payment information. Your credit card will be authenticated and verified that
it has sufficient funds. Your credit
card will be charged when we send you your final tracks.
Step 3 - Upload your reference/scratch MP3 files/tracks.
This is where you send the drummer the tracks that he will play-along to. You will be given easy to follow instructions on how to prepare your scratch and reference MP3 files.
Final Tracks
Once you accept the Drum Preview MP3 we send you, your final drum tracks will be mailed on CD, or uploaded, in WAV or AIFF format at the bit-rate and sample-rate you selected in the Studio Checklist. If you choose to download your tracks, please note that these are very BIG files and we recommend you have a fast internet connection.
Here are just some advantages and suggestions for using Live Drum tracks...
- Mix all the individual drum tracks any way you like (kick track, snare
track, toms, Overheads, etc.)
- Add EQ, compression, reverb, etc. to individual drum tracks
- Slice up the drum tracks and move them around to change the form and arrangement
of your song/project
- Trigger MIDI notes so you can blend or replace with any samples you have,
keeping the "feel" of the drums
- Chop up sections of the drums to create your own loops for use in your
other songs
- Learn how to mix drums the way the professionals do, while producing your
own songs/projects
- By filling out our Studio Checklist, YOU produce the drum tracks
Most importantly, you will have drum tracks that are recorded specifically
for your songs and projects, giving you the real "feel" and "groove" needed
to produce truely unique music.
